The Owensboro Catholic FFA held its Fifth Annual Parent / Member Banquet on May 9, 2008 in the Small Gym of Owensboro Catholic High School. Several awards were presented for excellence in Career Development Events throughout the year. Some awards worth explanation include:

Scholarship Award
Freshman: Jeremy Hayden
Sophomore: Andrea Schepers
Junior: Tiffany Murphy
Senior: Matt Scott
Overall High GPA: Tiffany Murphy

Leadership
OC FFA Chapter Leadership: Matt Scott
Dekalb Leadership Award in Agriculture: Kyle Hayden

Star Greenhand: Kaylee Murphy
Given to a first year member who gives FFA their best. Kaylee has 99% attendance at chapter meetings and participated in several Career Development Events.

Star Agribusiness: Jennifer Franey
Given to an FFA member employed in the service / food industry. Jennifer works at her family store.

Star Agriculture Placement: Coy Murphy
Given to an FFA member employed in the traditional agriculture production industry. Coy works on his family poultry farm.

Star Farmer: Kyle Hayden
Given to an FFA member in production agriculture. Kyle produces vegetables to sell at the local Farmers Market.
