Lenten Collection “Zap the Penny”
The students may bring in their money until Thursday, April 1st. The numbers are very close so dig out your change and start zapping. The winning class will receive a non-uniform day and a pizza party.
16th Annual OCS Food Drive
Sponsored by the National Honor Society at OCHS. Proceeds will go to the St. Joseph and Paul food pantry.
Used Clothing Drive
Thanks to so many families for the donations to the used clothing drive. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and will benefit the children and young adults at the RiverValley Behavioral Health Hospital.
Yearbook Orders
Elementary yearbooks are on their way! Pre-order your copy in color! Use the order form/envelope, enclose money, and return by April 16. Delivery will be May 15th.
Family Life Series
We will soon begin teaching the Benziger Family Life Program to students. The parent letter will provide you with addition information. Please sign and return the permission slip by Tuesday, March 30th.
Cafeteria News
Please keep your child’s lunch account balance positive. If you have any questions concerning your child’s account, please contact Ms. Becky.
Pre-Registration
We are encouraged by your response to the Owensboro Catholic Schools 2010-2011 pre-registration conducted for the past several weeks. Forms, fee, and parish vouch may be turned in to any of the school sites or central office. It is important that we have these forms to determine our class sizes and staffing for next year.

Any OCS family/employee selling a home raffle ticket during the week of March 25 – April 1 will have their name entered in a drawing to win $500. Your name will be entered one (1) time for every ticket you sell during this special promotion week.
Drawing will be held Friday, April 2 at 9AM at the OCS Central Office
Tickets can be picked up at School Sites/Central Office
Only a limited number of tickets remain!
You can sell as many tickets as you can but a maximum of 3 tickets per person will be signed out at any given time.
LOOK WHAT’S HAPPENING AT THE 4-6 CAMPUS!
Students in Mr. Calhoun’s sixth grade Science class are shown testing their solar ovens. They recorded the data over a period of twenty minutes. The students will construct line graphs to display the data.
Members of the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra Percussion Section presented March Mallet Madness at the 4-6 Campus on Friday, March 5. The students enjoyed the audience participation, sound effects and movie themes played by the group.

| The Sixth Grade FPS team represented our school in the State Academic Competition in Louisville this month. Allie Kuntz place first in the mixed alternate division. Congratulations to all team members and Coach Alvey for all their hard work this season. Also thank you to all parents for allowing the students to attend this event. | Congratulations to our 4th & 5th Grade Academic Team for placing First overall in the Governor’s Cup Regional Competition. The Quick Recall Team placed second. Team members were: Alli Thompson, Benjamin Conkright, Derek Osborne, George Kurtz, John Henry Booth, Olivia Bickett, Samuel Hyland, Sarah Brown, and Tricia Thompson. The following students placed in the individual written assessment: Tricia Thompson placed first in Social Studies and Science. Olivia Bickett placed second in Arts & Humanities. |

The students worked together to think of a slogan for their advertisements highlighting their faith. Then, they sketched and colored an illustration based on their slogan. These billboard advertisements are a unique and creative way to spread the Word of God |

The students earned this party by meeting the BookFair Loose Change Drive goal of over five hundred dollars. They dressed in 50’s clothing for the party and earned prizes. |
