Dear Parents,
Welcome back! We are off to an exciting start. We have several new faces this year. I welcome each of them and their families to the Owensboro Catholic 4-6 Campus. I am happy you decided to become a part of our school community. Welcome!
We also welcome Shannon Luttrell, our new fourth grade teacher, and Ashley Hagan, our new sixth grade teacher. Each is excited and eager to work closely with you in the development of your child.
If you are interested in being active in our school, please let us know. We will look forward to seeing you at our first PTO meeting in September. Come be a part of us.
Every Friday the office will be sending home a packet of information. Remember to look in your child’s folder for anything from the office on this day. Each month the office will send home a calendar of events for the month. Please join us for any event as it fits into your schedule. We love to have you celebrate with us.
BIRTHDAY NEWS
We want to be a part of your child’s birthday celebration. The students will be given a non-uniform day for their birthdays. Students will bring home a non-uniform coupon the day before so parents will know what they may wear to school. If the birthday falls on a weekend, the non-uniform day will be on the Friday before.
SOCCER SIGN-UPS
Visit the OCS website for sign-up information and forms if your daughter is interested in playing soccer - for grades 1-6.
FAST PITCH SOFTBALL SIGNUPS
Visit the OCS website for sign up information and forms if your daughter is interesed in playing fast pitch softball - for grades 4-6.
ELEMENTARY CROSS COUNTY
There will be an information meeting on August 20 at 6:30 PM in the OCHS cafeteria for patents of students who are interested in the Elementary Cross County Team for grades 1-6.
OPENING MASS
On Thursday, August 21, we will celebrate the Opening School Year Mass. We invite you to join us at 9 AM. Father Pat Bittel will be our celebrant and Ms. Hardesty’s fifth grade students will plan the Liturgy.
OCHS FOOTBALL
“WHITE-OUT NIGHT’ is scheduled for Friday, September 26, when the Owensboro Catholic Aces face off against Hancock County.
Everyone is invited to wear their “WHITE-OUT” shirt to the game. It will be awesome to look into the stands and see nothing but ACES White! What an incredible way to show our solidarity and support for Owensboro Catholic Aces Football team. T-shirt order forms are available on OCS website or in the school office. Pre-order before September 3, 2008.
