Welcome Back!
We are off to a wonderful start! This newsletter contains lots of important information. After this week, school newsletters will be sent out the last Friday of every month through our website. You can view our newsletters at www.owensborocatholic.org. If you do not have access to a computer and would like a hard copy, please call the school office.
If you currently do not receive our e-newsletter you may log onto our website and click on “Newsletter” at the top of the page, then type in your e-mail address. You may then mark which e-newsletters you would like to receive.
Internet/Handbook /Bus Guidelines Forms
If your child has not signed and turned in the Internet, Daviess County Bus Guidelines, or Handbook forms, please make sure those forms are turned in ASAP. Forms may be obtained on our website. If you need a hard copy, contact the school office.
Curriculum Information Night
Parents are invited to Curriculum Information Night on Thursday, August 20th, at 6 PM. Look for more information in your child’s backpack on Tuesday.
Power Break
On Monday we will begin serving Power Break to our students. Power Break is a mid-morning break for the students to eat breakfast or snack. Students may purchase breakfast or snacks from the cafeteria or bring them from home. All snacks must be nutritious. Only water may be brought in to drink for Power Break. Please discuss with your child what he/she is to do during this time.
OCHS Football-Gold Rush Night
Gold Rush night is scheduled for Friday, September 18th verses Apollo with kickoff at 7:30 pm. Purchase a Gold Rush t-shirt and show our Aces spirit by wearing it to the game that night. Each t-shirt is just $10.00 and proceeds benefit OCHS Football. Pre-orders will be taken through August 28th - turn in your order form today.

OCES Fast Pitch Softball
Open to all girls in grades 4-6 attending Owensboro Catholic 4-6 Campus. Sign –ups will be Tuesday, August 18th, from 5:30-6:30 at the 4-6 Campus Gym. For more information contact Jamie Klump at 926-4492.
Sixth Grade Band
The sixth grade band program will begin on Wednesday, August 19th at 7:30 am in the Instructional Lab. Mr. and Mrs. Hauser look forward to seeing all the registered band members and those still interested in joining. New members can still join through August 26th. A handbook and other information will be given to the students on the first day. If a student already has an instrument, please bring it on the first day. If a student rented through H & H Music, their instrument will be delivered to the 4-6 Campus by the 19th. Please contact Ed Hauser at 685-0566 for more information.
Car Rider Dismissal
We appreciate your patience with the new dismissal. When picking up in the front, parents must park on the north side of the street only. Please stay in your car if in line and the students will be released to your vehicle when it is safe. The first car in line should pull up to the alley entrance. If your child is late coming out or if you need to come into the building, you may park in one of the spaces in front. You may prefer to pick up in the back parking lot where there seems to be less congestion.
