Catholic Schools Week: Light the Way
Catholic Schools week will be celebrated during the week of January 28-February 1. As part of our focus on family during Catholic Schools Week, we invite you to participate in the up-coming activities.
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK T-SHIRT DESIGN
Each student received a t-shirt pattern with directions on designing a shirt for the OCES 4-6 Campus in last week’s newsletter. Each student and his/her family is asked to design a t-shirt which represents some ways we share our Catholic faith based on the theme: Catholic Schools: Light the Way. The winning design will be announced the Friday of Catholic Schools Week and will be sent to the printers. All t-shirt designs will be displayed in the hallways. Shirt designs are due no later than January 29. All students are asked to turn in a design.
TELEPHONE BOOK RECYCLING
The Environmental Club from Owensboro Catholic High School will be recycling old phone books. Next week, on January 28, new phone books will be delivered. You may send your old telephone books to the 4-6 Campus between January 28 and February 8, and students from the Environmental Club will take them to be recycled.
Happy Birthday !!

Looking forward to serving you.
Because we will celebrate the Liturgy on Wednesday with the OCS System, we will not have Mass on Thursday, January 31st.
THANK YOU !!
• We appreciate the excellent job that Ms. Estes and her students did planning our liturgy last Thursday. It was very nice. We thank Fr. Gary Hayes, the presiding priest.
• Thanks to the priests who visit our classrooms on Thursdays, answer our questions, and encourage vocations to the priesthood.
LOOK WHAT’S HAPPENING AT THE 4-6 CAMPUS!
The fourth grade students participate in a spelling bee each six weeks. The following students were the winners of the third contest for the year:
1st place – Luke Gray
2nd place – Jackson Bittel
3rd place- Mikayla Berry
The students and faculty were treated to a special performance from the Bluegrass Museum this week. Mr. Randy Lanham introduced the students to Bluegrass music the past week during Ms. Blandford’s music classes. Then he arranged a short program with the Peasall Sisters from Tennesee in our school on Wednesday. We all enjoyed their music and appreciated their talents.
