Elementary 4-6 Campus Newsletter

March 14, 2008

Pre-Registration

Pre-registration packets were mailed out last week.  If you did not receive your packet in the mail, please contact central office.  Pre-registration forms need to be filled out and returned with the $50.00 fee by March 21st.  Forms may be turned in at any of the school offices or at central office.

We would appreciate your immediate attention to this matter.  We use the pre-registration numbers to determine our classes for next school year.

ocs Holy Week

During the upcoming week the Church will commemorate the Passion of our Lord, starting on Palm Sunday with the Lord’s entrance into Jerusalem and ending with His crucifixion and death on Good Friday, and then His Resurrection on Easter Sunday.  Holy Week is a great opportunity to spend time with your family at special devotions within your parish community.

The Chrism Mass will be celebrated with Bishop McRaith at the SportsCenter on Tuesday at 6:30 PM.  Check your parish bulletin for other services in your parish.

There will be NO School Mass on Holy Thursday.  We encourage you to join your parish celebration to commemorate the institution of the Holy Eucharist.

The faculty and students will have a Good Friday Prayer Service at 8:15 AM. As always, you are invited and welcome to join us in prayer.  We thank Ms. Marks and Ms. Branch classes for leading this special service.

Because this is a holy time in the Church calendar and because we encourage you to spend time with family and your parish community, there will be NO sports activities on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday of Holy Week.

We wish all our school families a Blessed and Glorious Easter!

ocsAccreditation Process

This week our school went through the accreditation process.  Our site visitation team consisted of Mike Clark, Sandy Fleming and Scott Marks.  We appreciate all the positive things they had to say about our school, students, parents, and faculty.  Thank you to Vicki Cash and Michelle Linn for preparing all the food for their visit.  We would also like to thank all the parents, students and faculty for assisting with this important process.
