ocsGrandparents’ Day
Next Thursday, May 7th, we will be honoring our grandparents. Mass will begin at 9:00 am. Grandparents may pick up their grandchildren at the front office from 8:15-8:45. Immediately following Mass we will have the crowning of Mary. A short reception will follow. We look forward to seeing all the grandparents. It is a wonderful day.

ocsProgress Reports
It is mid-quarter again! Teachers will be sending home progress reports on Monday. Please take the time to review this with your child. Research shows that children perform better when they have the support at home as well as school.

Family Life
As you know our Family Life Program will begin next week. The program usually takes between one to two weeks to complete. Please take a minute or two during this time to ask your child about the program and if he/she has any questions concerning any of the material.

ocsAR News
As you know all students who earn their fourth quarter AR goal will participate in activities at Panther Creek Park on May 29th. Please check with your child to make sure they are on the way to reaching their goal. We want all students to earn a day at the park. We have three weeks until the cut-off on May 22nd.

ocsCatholic School Educator of the Year
Each year a teacher is chosen within the Diocese as the Educator of the Year. As you know, our teachers are outstanding and all are worthy of this title. If you would like to nominate a teacher, please see the nomination form.

Smoke Free Education
On Tuesday the students received a packet of materials concerning the dangers of smoking and of second hand smoke. Each student received a raffle ticket for a chance to win a mini basketball and hoop. The winner at the 4-6 Campus was Matthew Norcia. Congratulations, Matthew!

LOOK WHAT’S HAPPENING AT THE 4-6 CAMPUS!
ocsOn Thursday of this week our students participated in the Diocesan Rainbow Mass at the SportCenter. What a wonderful celebration for all the students in the Diocese of Owensboro. A representative from each school presented Bishop McRaith a wooden card along with some plants. He was very touched by this gesture from the schools. We were glad so many of our parents were able to attend this spiritual event.
