ocsCHRISTMAS PROGRAM

The K-3 and the 4-6 Campus will perform a Christmas program together on December 11.  The PTO has rented the RiverPark Center again this year.  We will have 2 programs.

The K-3 will perform at 6:00 p.m.  There will be a short intermission and the 4-6 will perform at 7:30 p.m.  This will allow more room for parents and family members since the parents of K-3 students only will be able to leave.  Students are to wear dress clothes to the performance.  Jeans will not be permitted.  Please help your child choose something appropriate for the RiverPark performance.

ATTENTION COACHES!

Coach Joe Ehrmann will be in Bowling Green, Kentucky Saturday, Dec. 15th, to present the “Inside Out Coaching Seminar” that is having a profound impact across the country.  There is no one in the country doing a seminar like this one!  More information on the seminar was attached.

Thanks to the students and parents for the donations of  food and personal items.   St. Joe and Paul Parish Food Pantry was very pleased to receive such a large collection of items. May God bless you for your generous spirit..

THE NUTCRACKER

Several of the 4-6 Campus students will be performing in The Nutcracker at the RiverPark Center: Caroline Augenstein, Emily Marshall, Bailey Mador, Lauren Meador, Sydney Taber, Meredith Bickett, Grace Geralds, Molly Head, and Natalie Jones.  All students will be attending the school day performance on Friday, November 30th.  Please watch for the permission slip to come home from your child’s homeroom teacher. Thanks to the help of the Owensboro Dance Theatre the cost per child will only be $5.00.

LOOK WHAT’S HAPPENING AT THE 4-6 CAMPUS!

The fifth graders celebrated their Prayer Day talking about stewardship.  The students played games, acted out parables, and discussed the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  A special thanks to Elaine Robertson for leading the day’s activities.

Students in the fourth and fifth grades participated in two presentations of the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra on November 9th.  They enjoyed Dr. Earle’s practical overview of musical elements with demonstrations. The Opera and Orchestra Extravaganza at the RiverPark was educational and full of energy.  The sixth graders were entertained and informed by Mr. Lawing at the Bluegrass Museum.  We enjoy great music in our community.

ocsCongratulations to Cory Burdette! This past Saturday Cory made the KMEA All-District Band which will perform in January.  Mr. Hauser, OCS band director, is very pleased with Cory’s ability to meet this challenge - mastering the All-District music. OCES 4-6 Campus is very proud of Cory and all sixth grade band students.
