Elementary 4-6 Campus Newsletter

Advent
On Sunday, the First Sunday of Advent, the Church throughout the world begins a new year. For the next four weeks, we will prepare our hearts to celebrate the great feast of Christmas. We remember that Jesus, our Lord and Savior, came among us over 2,000 years ago. We also ponder his promise to return.
During the Advent season, the students will be participating in an Advent Service every Monday morning at 8:15 a.m. Mrs. Estes’s class will be planning the service on the 3rd, Mrs. Castlen’s class on the 10th, and Mr. Gary’s class on the 17th. Please join us if you can.
Christmas Program
The K-3 and the 4-6 Campus will perform a Christmas program together on December 11. The PTO has rented the RiverPark Center again this year. We will have TWO programs.
The K-3 will perform at 6:00 p.m. There will be a short intermission and the 4-6 will perform at 7:30 p.m. This will allow more room for parents and family members since the parents of K-3 students only will be able to leave. Students are to wear dress clothes to the performance. Jeans will not be permitted. Please help your child choose something appropriate for the RiverPark performance. Please read the attached information concerning the program schedule. Programs will not be given out the night of the performance. We will be sending home the programs next Friday in the newsletter.
The students will be going to the RiverPark the day of the performance for a rehearsal. Please sign and return the attached permission slip by Wednesday, December 5.
Thank You!
St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry would like to thank you for your generous contributions to their food pantry. Your donations will allow them to aid many needy people throughout the year, especially during the Christmas season. You are truly making a difference!
Thanks to the parents of Ms Salisbury’s and Ms. Estes’ classrooms. The teachers and staff enjoyed a hot delicious lunch on Wednesday and appreciate the generous gift. You warmed our hearts.
4-H Speech Results
On November 20th, several of the students participated in the 4-H Speech Contest Run-off. They represented our school with great pride. The following students will deliver their speeches in the district contest in the spring: Elizabeth Cason, Lillie Goetz, Darcy James, Raychel Bahnick, Annie Pfeifer, Kyle Alvey, and Stephanie Hayden. Congratulations to all who participated and we wish these seven students blessings.
Mass
We thank Ms. Marks’ students for leading the liturgy yesterday and we thank Father Julian for joining us as celebrant. December 6th, Father Freddie will be our celebrant and Mr. Calhoun’s students will plan the liturgy. Please join us at 9 AM.
Thanks to all the priests who visit our classrooms weekly. The students and teachers are always happy to see you and hear what you have to teach us. You are a great blessing to our school community.

LOOK WHAT’S HAPPENING AT THE 4-6 CAMPUS!

Mrs. Estes’ students wrote and performed skits or rap songs to show what they learned about conservation of resources and the 4 R’s – recycling, reusing, reducing, and redesigning.
