Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher conferences are set for Thursday, October 23rd from 3:00-7:00. Letters were sent out in last week’s newsletter with your schedule conference time.
Please make every effort to arrange your schedule to come at your appointed time. Conferences are scheduled in 10 minute increments. We ask that everyone keep to the time allotted in order to keep conferences on time.
If you feel the need to change your conference time or have any questions, please contact the school office at 683-6989.
Cafeteria News
On Friday, October 24th, we will be serving Little Caesar’s Pizza for lunch. Each parent must fill out the attached information and return it to school by Tuesday, October 22nd. Please indicate what your child will be eating for lunch on that day as well as any extra pieces of pizza. Each student receives one piece with his/her lunch. If your child wishes to receive extra pieces of pizza, money must be in his/her lunch account. Extras may not be charged.
OCS Elementary Basketball & Cheerleading
Basketball & Cheerleading sign-ups for students in grades 3-6 will be at the 4-6 Campus on Tuesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 23 from 5:30-6:30 pm.
Girls and Boys Basketball Registration
Cheerleading RegistrationCost: $35 first child, $20, each additional child.
Player evaluations will be at the Annunciation Center – K-3 Campus the week of October 27. More details later.
Reminder: All student athletes must have a current sports physical on file in the school office before October 31st. Athletic physicals must be on the KHSAA athletic form. Student athletes will not be allowed to begin practice without a sport physical.

October 10 – Last day shorts may be worn.
October 22 – Grade 4 will go to the RiverPark Center to see “Shangri-La Chinese Acrobats”
October 23 – Mass at 9 AM. Father Tony Jones will be our celebrant and Ms Hagan’s students will plan the liturgy. You are invited to attend!!
October 24 – Faith in Education Shirts may be worn with the uniform slacks.
October 24 – Rosary in the Prayer Garden, led by Mr. Gary’s students. Join us!

LOOK WHAT’S HAPPENING AT THE 4-6 CAMPUS
Students in Mr. Calhoun’s sixth grade science class use the new safety glasses as they test three unknown compounds. The students used litmus paper to identify an acid, a base, and a neutral substance. They also determined the ph number of each compound.
