Uniform Alert
This week we started having uniform check to ensure our students are in proper uniform. Several students have gotten uniform infractions for the month of September. Remember if students receive an infraction, they will not earn a non-uniform day for the month the infraction occurred. Infraction notices will be sent home whenever a child is out of uniform. Please make sure your child is in proper uniform before leaving home each morning.
Sweatshirt Orders
Last Friday order forms went home for our official school sweatshirt. These sweatshirts are the only sweatshirts the students may wear during the school day. Please make sure your order and money are turned in by September 12. We have attached another order form in today’s newsletter. Please notice that we have made a change – this year we are offering an X-large youth size.
Cafeteria News
We are still in need of parent volunteers in the cafeteria during lunch time. Volunteers are needed from 11:00-12:30. If you would be willing to help out, please contact Cathy Mitchell at 764-2055 or 302-1969.
Mid-Quarter Review
Next Wednesday the teachers will be looking at the progress and grades of each student for the mid-quarter review. Then on Friday, September 12th, you will receive a report from your child’s teacher concerning this review. Please ask your child for this report and discuss with him/her the information in the report.
OCS Elementary PTO Meeting
We hope to see you on Wednesday, September 10th, at the PTO meeting. The meeting will be at OCES K-3 Campus at 6 PM. Please join us and learn first hand what we all can do to help make this a successful school year. See the attached flyer for more information.
The first big exciting event for the PTO will be the “Tailgate Party” on September 26.
