The three classes went to three locations to start the day. One group started on the Rosary Walk, where Sister Ann McGrew can be seen here showing them the way toward the Joyful Mysteries. Sister Ann then led the students in saying the rosary as they followed on the Rosary Walk.

Another class went to the Museum, where Sister Sharon Sullivan, congregational leader (in the background) told the students the story of Father Paul Volk and the “blessed bricks” that were used to build Mount Saint Joseph Academy, which is now the Center. The third class began in the Madonna Room in the Center, where Sister Pam Mueller, left, talked to them about their theme for the day, “fully rely on God.” Sister Pam is the campus minister at Brescia University. Each of the classes went to all three locations.

At 11 a.m., the students gathered for Mass in the chapel, with the Most Rev. William Medley, bishop of the Diocese of Owensboro, presiding. Teacher Bonnie Marks is seen here asking the bishop to bless some stuffed frogs that will be given to the students to remind them to fully rely on God. F.R.O.G. Bishop Medley prepares to proceed into Mass with servers and a cross bearer from the sixth-grade class.

The students filled the chapel as they sang the opening hymn. There were 79 sixth-graders involved in the prayer day. Bishop Medley accepts the bowl of frogs during the bearing of gifts. He said he had never blessed frogs before.
ocs Following lunch in the park, the students gathered around the statue of Our Lady of Prompt Succor, as Sister Ann explained the history of the patron saint of New Orleans. Afterward, the students gathered in the chapel to listen to a letter from God, before heading back to school.
