Aces Cafe

K-3 Campus We are excited here at the Elememtary K-3 Campus Cafeteria to begin serving your children a nutritious breakfast and lunch. We enjoy being able to provide your child with a healthy meal in a positive, Christian environment.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY ALL THE INFORMATION LISTED BELOW.

Assorted fruit means at least two fresh choices and a total of four fruit choices each day. We have added a Ham and Cheese wrap to our daily choices along with the Chef Salad, Peanut Butter and Cheese and Crackers add to this our two hot entrees we offer each day and we should be able to please even the pickiest eater. More assorted fresh vegetables and mini salads will be on the lunch line, as well. Please stop by and see all the wonderful and healthy options your children have at lunch.Aces Cafe

  • Breakfast has five combo choices served with fruit, toast and milk or juice.
  • Each student will be assigned a pin # (kindergarten will be given numbers on the first day). The pin # will remain the same each year. Students will punch in their pin # each time they make a purchase at the cafeteria.
  • Money may be sent to school in an envelope with child’s full name and pin#. You would be surprised how many children have the same first name. You may also drop money by school during regular school hours. Check or cash is accepted. A check is preferred; we can track payments much better with a check.
  • Students may purchase extras if it is available. If you DO NOT want your child to purchase extras, please sign and return the form.
  • All students are required to keep a positive balance. It is the parent’s responsibility to keep up with their child’s balance.
  • Notes will be generated at the beginning of each week and sent to students if their balance is negative. If your child receives a note please pay promptly and remember they need to keep a positive balance. If a second note is sent the following week an alternate lunch will be served until the account is paid. Alternate lunch consist of a peanut butter sandwich and milk or juice. (cheese & crackers if the student has nut allergies)
  • Free and reduced meal forms are available at the school and must be filled out each new school year. If you have children at different school campuses a form needs to be filled out for each campus. We encourage everyone to fill out these forms. As always, these are kept confidential.
  • Milk or Juice is served with each meal. Water is always .50 extra even if the student doesn’t take their milk or juice. Water can’t be served as part of the meal component price. This is a federal lunch program regulation.

Sincerely,

Vicki Cash, OCES K-3 Cafeteria Mgr.

Cafeteria Accounts

We realize it can be difficult to keep track of fees and payments to the school district.  To help simplify payment of school food service fees, The Diocese of Owensboro School Food Service has enrolled in an internet-based service called Café Prepay. This service is a website where you can pay for your child’s Breakfast and Lunch meals using your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Participation in this is voluntary; you may enroll at any time.  There is a website charge of $2.50 for each transaction. The School Food Service will not receive any part of this charge.

Café Prepay also enables you at no charge to view your student’s participation report, which means you can monitor your child’s spending and see exactly what they’re eating each day (via the Participation Report link.)

To get started, you will first enroll at cafeprepay.com.  You will be asked to enter your email address and a password, which will be used each time you log in.  Please note that a valid email address is required and that Café Prepay stores any necessary personal information in a secure, offline database which is accessed only to process payments and send payment confirmation via email.

Please visit the FAQ page for more information. If you have questions that are not answered on the website, we encourage you to use the “Contact” link for Café Prepay or call the school district office. We hope you find this service a convenient alternative.
