Elementary K-3 Campus Newsletter
April 2010
News and Reminders
~ Spring Break is next week. School will not be in session April 5-9. We will resume classes on April 12. We hope everyone has a safe and restful week off from school! We also wish everyone a Happy Easter and pray that the blessing of the risen Christ fills your home with peace!
~ Thinking ahead to Summer Vacation: Students often “lose academic ground” during the summer. The Teachers Aide is offering the Summer Bridge Workbook to all K-3 Families at a reduced price for $10 per book. See the attached flyer for more information. The books will be delivered to school and we will send them home with your child. We will be planning some kind of “incentive” for children who complete their Bridge Workbook and bring it in at the beginning of the school year. Money and orders for Workbooks due by: April 33, 2010
~Yearbook Order Envelopes have been sent home. If you would like to order a Yearbook, please send in $15 in the attached envelope by April 16.
~ If your child is a bus rider- please make sure that he or she does not have a lot of dangling key chains and/or stuffed animals on their backpacks. These can be very dangerous and the DCPS Bus Garage has asked that students NOT have any additional hanging items on their backpacks.

Bishop Medley to Say Mass at K-3 Campus
Our new Bishop has made it a priority in his very busy schedule to say Mass at all of the Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Owensboro.
We are very excited he will be presiding over Mass at the K-3 Campus on April 29 at 9:00.
All of our families are welcome to attend and celebrate Mass with us!
