Crazy Cabbage Contest

Summer 2007

At the end of last school year, the 3rd graders at the K-3 Campus were given a cabbage plant. The challenge was to plant the cabbage at home, watch it grow, and see who could grow the largest cabbage. After the cabbage reached its full size, children sent in pictures of their cabbage along with how much it weighed.

The following students submitted an entry in the cabbage contest.

Mikala Riney                23 lbs.  

Mikala Riney’s cabbage won the contest and was submitted to the Bonnie Plants Company and will be eligible to win a $1,000 scholarship. One scholarship is awarded to each state
